Electrogalvanizing

Electro-galvanized nails are covered with a layer of zinc as a protective barrier against rust and corrosion. When the surface of galvanized nails is damaged, the surrounding coating dissolves to protect the inner material from rust. Zinc protects nails from corrosion as the steel underneath is separated from water/ moisture in the air. Electroplating is a process where the zinc is applied by the use of electrical current.

Eco-friendly process

Galvanized steel is one of the most environmentally friendly building materials available in the market. In terms of environmental sustainability, not all materials come close to what galvanized steel has to offer in terms of its properties in production, in its life cycle or in its reusability. Our automatic lines are economical and efficient, the vapor absorbers and waste water treatment plants produced by Wigal Company do not allow harmful substances to enter the environment.

Galvanized steel is also recyclable. It can be recycled separately as an individual product or it can be recycled with other steel scrap. Galvanization can definitely be considered as a sustainable and eco-friendly process.
